Context

Mainly composed of engineers, the Colas team devised a technology for pedestrian crossings that are illuminated when cars are detected: Flowell. They therefore wanted to tackle the issue of pedestrian detection.

Missions

Lead a workshop at Colas' offices to help them define technical solutions related to the constraints of pedestrian detection (detection, reactions, delay).

Support engineers in their search for complex technical solutions using the design process.

Realisations

Imagine all possible scenarios for crossing a pedestrian crossing.

Illustrate each situation clearly so that they can identify the appropriate technical solutions.

Print all UX tools dedicated to designing the experience (scenario, blueprint, empathy map...)

Support for decision-making when choosing the final technical solutions.

Challenges

Manage a team of engineers to use their technical expertise to develop a smart industrial product

What I learned

Prepare and support customers with technical skills but without product development processes

Tools

Workshop

The second part of this project begins with a workshop at the client's factory with the product development teams.

Miro

Preparing tools to support and develop the final experience with the team.

After Effect

Production of videos illustrating the 25 use cases in order to demonstrate behaviours and identify technical solutions.
